I’m grateful today for another Boyz Lunch. It’s been a long, long time, since the fall. We took a picnic lunch to the Paonia Town Park, where we enjoyed lasagna rolls, focaccia, and big soft ginger cookies. Now Mel says it’s THIRTY different plants in a week, but at least that includes herbs, spices, and grains as well as fruits and veggies. The lasagna brought in three (chard, mushrooms, garlic) and the cookies added four more with cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and chocolate (it’s a bean!) — I don’t think flour and sugar count, even though they’re plants too…?

Well, if I can count the small snips of herbs I throw into my salad dressing I can get up there pretty quick too. But it’s not that much because the plants haven’t started growing full force yet.
